I absolutely adore how the moment I heard my classmate did bracelet commisions, I knew I had to commision a sfth one

The week of them forgetting to do it was worth waiting

I have not convinced my friend that I'm normally obsessed over them and I don't think I ever will

Just now realizing how jealous I am of people who obsessed over Kara’s necklace as a kid. Even Emily’s bracelet was easier to find stuff for than the tigers eye paw stone that has haunted me for years

Anyway, the bracelet taking off made me curious about looking for stuff for the other mage’s gems and while I am not planning on making or buying theirs, I have found some stuff on Etsy (both a necklace that made me think of Kara’s and a bunch of gem options for Emily’s. There is no actual rainbow aventurine though (to my knowledge) so most of what I’m looking at is glass)

It's such an small detail but it speaks volumes.

Eddie posts a Tiktok of their coffee table in the living room. Sitting on it is a punch bowl full of beads and like twelve different novelty coffee mugs that Wayne brings them when he travels. Inside the cups are the beads they’ve sorted.

The next day, one of Steve’s students stitch the video with one that’s zooming in on Steve’s wrist as he teaches. There’s a bracelet that says ‘Steve + Eddie’ between pink, purple, and blue beads. They’re like, “And you guys are bullying this man. Smh.”

Tampere 29.8. and Kokkola 30.8. Käärijä gig report

or: "The story behind Jesse's new bracelet"

I am not a Käärijä fan, but my wonderful friends are and how can I say no to having a good time?

When I went to Turun Terassikesä, Jere yapped about how Jesse had only four fans because a handful of people including me and @harmaanoita kept hyping Jesse up and cheering for him. I got the setlist from Jesse after the gig, which made me want to prove Jere wrong even more. So, in preparation for the gigs, I made five Jesse fan bracelets to gift to my equally or even more Jesse supporting friends.

Bracelet #1 went to @theplantbish without whom I wouldn't even be a Jesse fan and I kept #2. When the gig was beginning, I still had bracelet #5 and my friends encouraged me to give it to Jesse. Against all expectations, he's still wearing it and I adore him for it.

Highlights from the gigs and my road trip:

Jere's yapping at Kaisla and the whole fake money incident that started with Häärijä wiping Jere's pötsi sweat with a sugar paper bill and then eating it

Seeing a Käärijä only gig that was very stripped down, including the way Häärijä legit changed clothes on stage as a bit as there was no backstage.

The Kaisla gig felt really intimate and special, even if it was really hot and sweaty.

i think the one thing that has made me feel more frustrated in tsc saga is the whole gracelet thing. don't get me wrong, i get the point of the storyline, but i was soo angry that we only got glimpses of the real james for so long, of the one whose feelings weren't being manipulated and that had a mask convering his heart.

like, okay, we got to see that he was a good friend, a good son and a good brother, but it didn't show to what extent. it didn't allow us to know the depth of his feelings for cordelia, of how much he actually cared about his loved ones. of course, we knew, in a way. but it was so much more than that.

his heart was so much more alive than what the bracelet allowed him to be. he had a stronger character and strong beliefs.

what i'm trying to say is: fuck that fucking bracelet for robbing us of james herondale for that long.

For followers of “the bracelet saga” where I try to make Adriane’s bracelet from Avalon web of magic, I can no longer find a bead like the one I used 😔 it was already had to find a bead in the first place. HOWEVER, if you would like a tiger’s eye paw and are fine with a hefty chunk instead of a bead, here are a few Etsy listings (not mine and I’m not affiliated with anyone on this list)

I made two bracelets inspired by Kaine and Ben a few months ago!! I decided to go for Kaine’s villain design since it’s more distinct and his Scarlet Spider costume might be confused with Miles’ 😋
